Both rates that you referenced, $10/100 words for “native writers” ($100/1000 words ; $0.10/word) and the rate you consider “most acceptable and fair”, half that, $5/100 words ($0.05/words), are exceptionally low rates for professional writers.
I can’t envision a situation in which it would be worth my while to attempt to write a 1,000 word article for $100.
Even making the highly unlikely assumption that no prior research and revisions are required, I could afford at most 90 minutes to jotting it out. That’s not factoring in any of my non-billable time spent on client management. And in any event, who would want to work for such a client?
I take issue with low rates.
I take more of an issue with people supposedly in the industry that are prepared to publicly espouse them.
